Mines fitted with the coin/trinket tray as it’s a late model. Much more useful than the ashtray.

Take out the metal strip in the ash tray - it leaves a good coin area with a lid so the coins are not visible

+1... removed my ashtray (I had hacked it about anyway as used to have my GPS3 mounted on it) but now have the coin tray. Can fit a kenwood 2way radio in it which stays in place during most laning trips. falls out if you bounce around a bit though. |

I have the Mud coin tray and happy with it, it holds more junk than the ash tray did. The only minor complaint is that it doesn't sit flush with the dash, it sits about 4mm proud due to the springs.
A 3D printed jobby the holds my phone, allowing it to be used as a sat nav whilst charging is on the wishlist 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop 1989 300Tdi 90 Soft top 1992 200Tdi 90 Truck cab with Land Cruiser axles |

Got to tidy mine up a bit but I cut a piece of ply to fit the hole, painted it black, then it fixes to a strip of steel under the crash pad to keep it in place. On this is fixed my digital 2 way radio that is set up for Zello for communications with my local 4x4 Response Group.
