Clicking Air Con Compressor
Fellow Defenderites who want to stay cool:
Upon starting engine, the air con compressor makes an erratic loud clicking/ticking noise. If I increase engine speed, the noise stops. When the engine goes back to tick over speed, the noise returns. If I disconnect the electrical connection at the top of the compressor, the clicking continues asit did when connected.
The air con system still provides cool air despite the noise.
Any ideas????
Thanks
David

Just noticed now a slight oil weep around the compressor. Could a drop in gas and pressure cause the clicking??
