Great fun or a money pit
Concussion during Rugby practice? Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right. |

I can’t claim concussion, I was coaching 😁. We will see. It might be a run around to the station instead of the 90.

I think rust is your biggest risk on those. If that’s ok you might have a lot of fun for not much money. What do the front arches look like? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

For £300 I’m not sure you can go wrong! I’d have bought it.

Well, hopefully I’ll get to have a look at it properly over the weekend. I’ll share the details, lemon or not 😁

I know you’re all desperate to see this:
Click image to enlarge Good bits: the roof works perfectly, it’s drives, stops and pulls well. It has a full service history, As and Bs nothing missed. Bad bits: the interior needs the deepest of deep cleans, and then cleaning again. Some of the interior plastics will need replacing as they are badly marked. Both front wings are bubbling in the same place. I’ve just ordered a steam cleaner |

Yep. The odd advisory here and there but most are a straight pass. The remote central locking wasn't working, but two CR2025s and a very simple (by LR standards) re-sync and its all good.
I've just had a call from father in law.....who has a 110XS which is his pride and joy. It has broken down and the gearbox made some horrible sounds as it was breaking down. It can't be towed, so he's waiting for Shukers to come and fetch it. I think it has done all of 12k miles, always serviced, waxoyled, garaged, not used when wet, generally pampered I did the honourable thing and offered him a very nice SLK..... |

I reflected on my somewhat cruel offer of an SLK and pinged him to see if he wants to use my 90 for a while. It's the thought that counts.

This is one of those cars that is at the absolute bottom of the depreciation curve. Mercedes sports coupes generally do well as classics, these seem to to have aged well in looks department, so I'd be looking for a way to fix any major problems and preserve the rest and await the day I can sell it for £20k at Bonhams auction
The great thing about it being a Merc is that they tend to keep supplying parts for older models, so anyhting you need should still be available. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |
