Only just seen this thread.
Completely agree with everything that Greeni said. The Land Rover community on Instagram has really grown in the last few years and it is great to see. It isn't just sharing photos, a lot of businesses have grown because of Instagram and it is a great way of looking at products along with asking questions which anyone can answer and help with. It's good that people on this forum are on Instagram, hopefully we can get more accounts showcasing their Landys and helping to grow the community, there really isn't many other cars that has a following like the Defender. I quit FB over a year ago. I couldn't get through all the inane vapid BS and folks constant need for other people's validation, not to mention cat videos and positive quotes!
Checked out Insta and loved it. I used it for business first but then the Defender stuff took hold and that's pretty much all I look at now. @Danzdefender if anyone's interested.

I’ve just been flicking through a few Instagram Defender accounts and it’s made me feel slightly melancholic.
First, as an avowed hater of social media, because it looks like I’m going to have sign up to a second Social Media account, and what’s more, one owned by FB. Second, because with the number of photos out there, it looks like I’m going to become addicted. Third, because the few photos I’ve seen as a non-member, just emphasises how many different, amazing, unique Defenders there are out there, (which is a good thing), but that we’ll never see the likes of with the New Discfender, which is a sad thawing. Oh well, off to sign up.  Monsieur Le Grenadier

Its a great community, I used your snow covered 101 photo, as well as reaching 400+ likes, it was also seen by a friend of the owner, who tagged the owner in... small world.. but you wouldn’t want to walk it.

I've come to quite like Instagram as you can see all sorts of stuff in an easy to digest format. The only problem with it is that it can be a bit superficial. Lots of people throw photos at it without any meaningful caption and don't respond to questions. Darren
