I also have had no problems with parcel2go, though I realise at times what with the number of parcels they handle problems can arise, that is why I always pay that little bit extra for insurance.
Good luck with sorting this out. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

strong chance the their website is playing funny , it took me nearly 2 weeks to get a parcel out due to their website. Do not and I repeat Do not use parcel force at all! They have kept a parcel that should have been sent out to someone on here. I rang them 6 times and got 6 different answers, Even had a comment on facebook, which i ended up blasting them to the point they deleted it. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but what I can't fathom with any of these parcel firms is why, when they have successfully delivered to my house numerous times, randomly they decide not to deliver because they can't find my house.
Now, my house is slightly hard to find, in that it is a house name, not a number, and the post code covers quite a long street, so wont bring you to the door on its own, but I live in a largish town, close to a major city, not in some remote location half way up a mountain. Most/all of these companies use GPS tracking, so once they have found my address once, why on earth don't thye geo tag where they delivered the parcel to make it easier for all of their subsequent deliveries? It would save them money as well as make my life easier. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

I’ve found with Yodel they have twice emailed me to say a parcel has been delivered yet there was nothing at the door.
They were in the area but had yet delivered it. That I find annoying, especially as they don’t bother to knock on the door. My Hermes parcel today was left at the door by some track suit wearing individual in a normal estate car. At least some companies do have a uniform so you know who’s at your door. |

It's luck of the draw depending upon your local office/driver (with the exception of Yodel, they're hopeless everywhere!).
Best service we get is from MyHermes. Frequent collections and deliveries. Just a great local driver though rather than anything else. Worst used to be APC - they'd leave anything on the door in the rain even though I'm upstairs in my office. New driver appears pretty good. Best of the lot appears to be UPS, but I get the feeling they're pricey. |

Well it’s obvious that some folks get decent service from Hermes, but they have now cancelled my collection four days in a row, which is totally unacceptable, it seems it may just be down to however is the local driver.

You could try a local drop-off point. Normally a local newsagent.

Hermes are generally awful i only use them for returns when thats the only option and then drop it at the newsagents.
I use Parcel to Go all the time but always use UPS again dropped at news agents great service, items never lost or broken and not much more than Hermes |

I usually us "Myhermes" (not sure why they call it that) and I can only remember once when they failed to pick up a parcel. They get a bit funny if the parcel is over size and try to charge you a surcharge. Also the web site is slow to update on parcel deliveries but so far all mine have arrived.
DPD will randomly deliver to next door though for no reason! Mike Hard Top 90 TD5 2001 Ford 100e 1959 www.youtube.com/mikemakesit |

From my experience Hermes isn't consistant 9times out of 10 they will be fine but when theres a problem they are more or less uncontactable by phone
Had it twice they've taken weeks to deliver items once with my brother and then once with me which was when I ordered seatbelts to replace ones a puppy had slightly chewed after failing a mot hermes took that long to deliver I missed out on the free retest Have also seen hermes arriving the next day I do like the parcel2go website and drop of at a shop option, small items I just send them from a post office but they are robbery for anything of any size or weight. |
