After a few weekends working on this, finally all installed, headliner back in. Cutting the headliner was a deep breath moment, following the instructions, I drew around the trim bracket and then cut 1cm inside the line. Installing the headliner was a pain on my own. Had to trim the headliner when it was up in place to ensure the retaining bracket sat flush...
There is one area on the rear where it doesn’t sit right on one corner, but for now, it’s in. In the warmer weather, I’ll trim it again so it sits flush. Most the work And time was routing the wires for the rear work lights, rear spots, front LED and compressor, CB radio etc, as well as my rear view camera mirror, had to plan it all out before, because once the headliner is in, that’s it. Install time, approx 10 hours, quoted £1600 by a reputable LR specialist, cost of parts to install, wire, looms, connectors, approx. £100. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

All that cutting would have made me very nervous. Very nice work. WARNING.

Excellent job! Looks to be a very professional finish. Wish that I had the confidence...
What rear view camera system did you install? Have been looking at these but there seem to be compromises on each one and some of the chinese imports seem to be too cheap to do a good job? |
