Has the new ECU been coded to the 10AS? 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

No it hasn't been programmed to the 10AS. The car doesn't have any alarm fobs and the control box is from a car that didn't have an alarm system active.
Will it still need to be programmed? |

you will still need a 10AS even if doesn't have any alarm fobs 10AS sends the ECM coded to enable it for starting and run

Thank you. It does have a 10AS box but I have not programmed this, can this be programmed using a snap or does it need to be a nanocam or something similar?

you will need more than just programming parts have to be add to the ECM

Immobilized 10AS = starter not turning
Immoblilized TD5 engine ECU = starter turning, but no injector controll = no fuel to engine You have to pair TD5 engine ECU with 10AS ECU. With Nanocom it is in engine ECU settings. Lights - MILL and GLOW are directly controlled from TD5 engine ECU, now lights often indicates not running software in engine ECU, you can confirm this by connecting with Nanocom to engine ECU. Not running software in engine ECU = no communication with Nanocom. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo |

Instruments indicators of MIL (engine malfunction) and of glow plugs are directly controlled from engine ECU. These should shortly light on when you switch on the ignition. No lights means no power ( probably some fuse) or not running software in engine ECU (death ECU or death software inside after wrong remap typically). "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

Hi all,
Sorry for reviving an old thread. I finally got to the bottom of this issue with my ignition lights and non starter. The car hadn't ran since 2011 so it was quite a challenge but thanks to the above info I got the ignition lights working and the car starting. Turns out 12v live going to the black connector on the ECU had an issue, one of the junction boxes behind the dash had some burnt out wires, I replaced the wires back to the fuse box and replaced the junction box and now I have all the ignition lights. Thanks for all your help |
