That must be the only driving new defender... all the rest are parked up for us to only look at!

Nothing better than a winch that you can't get access to, to untangle a rope/cable or get to the solenoids.

When I saw the vehicle at Alice Holt I asked the LR guy about the winch set up an he said that whole section was hand built and just for show. So at present we have no idea what the production version will be like. Having taken part in winch challenge events plus marshalling I personally dislike ‘hidden’ winches as it is much harder to spot when the rope starts to wind in on one side and is in danger of jamming against the top housing. Just have to wait until the aftermarket can produce a whole new steel winch bumper for it . Can’t imagine that will happen whilst vehicles are in warranty and on PCP loans so we will have to wait a while unless the Americans get in there first...... |

Oops double post.
Has anyone been onto You Tube and looked at the Ford and Jeep overland builds at SEMA this year. I still struggle to see how this will sell in the quantities that JLR need in too as the base platform is not very adaptable and is too small for the US market... We shall see what happens. |

What is the weight limit on those side mounted access ladders???? He obviously trusts the tyre more! Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly! |
