I use one of these for the Propshaft UJ's, and you can get to the nipples, as is your want in any position.

A Greenland run! That's a long way! Nice nostalgic photos, they take me back to the old days (the '70s and early '80s) before greenlaning became popular and hence the target of deranged antis. I am sorry to say that seeing so many vehicles in convoy now on an unmetalled RoW makes me very uneasy, far too many in one group in my opinion. |

It was my immediate thought too, so I'm glad someone else posted first. Have a look at the GLASS Code of Conduct, it's a good place to start: "When travelling in groups keep to a small number, four or less in sensitive areas, in other areas up to six vehicles MAY be acceptable." https://www.glass-uk.org/about/our-code-of-conduct.html |

Tried to get to the bottom of a pretty major leak in the back of the 110. Passengers are not happy with the smell of rotting carpets and were not looking forward to a long trip we’ve planned for 1/2 term next week.
I took the offending carpet out together with fold up seat and all the trim in passenger side rear. Click image to enlarge I thought the source of the leak would be pretty obvious given the sheer amount of water around but unfortunately this wasn’t the case. Carpet on top of wheel arch and almost 1/2 of boot floor carpet are soaked. Carpet on top of wheel arch was wettest where I’ve circled in red below. Click image to enlarge I thought the foam strip sealing the tub was the likely candidate as it’s not particularly level, but this joint seems bone dry on the inside Click image to enlarge Any ideas? I’ll have to sit inside next time it rains. I can’t face putting it back together with no solution. To make matters worse, I managed to shear off the stud on the dickie seat. A case of too much haste Click image to enlarge Hopefully there’s enough length left to get a nut on. Otherwise I’ll have to grind it off and weld on a new bolt 2012 110 XS SW Orkney Grey 2003 D2 Td5 Black [SOLD] Last edited by DG123 on 16th Oct 2019 9:46pm. Edited 1 time in total |
