Well, if it is your pride and joy, do you really want to wait that long to replace the gearbox and transfer box oil?
I'm not impressed with this Land Rover schedule where you can wait until a next life before replacing gear/transfer box and axle oils. Or replace the coolant fluid only after 200.000 km. Common sense tells me otherwise. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Hello The Fox
In addition... Click image to enlarge I completely agree with ericvv... The Maintenance should match the work tackled, but even if this is predominately road use, there is a lot of mechanical movement through the Transmission and Running Gear, swapping out all these with good quality Oils and Grease, at 50% (or sooner) than the recommended LR Schedules, is a wise move in my opinion. To be fair to LR, they do advise a significant reduction in operation time between maintenance with 'Arduous Usage'... Close Up... Good Luck... SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

Don't be silly you'll have to replace them long before then due to leakage anyway. To be fair the Japanese have been using sealed for life coolant for decades. And Land Rover do specify much lower change intervals if you work the vehicle hard in dusty/wet conditions or extremes of temperatures. It never hurts to change more often than needed, although it may just be a waste of money. |

So I started writing this for my own reference, but if it's useful for anyone else I added a disclaimer and used your input:

I’ve been looking for a 2.2 puma service schedule PDF as a nice way of recording the service work I undertake, and really like the Defender2.net one above. Was a copy ever posted as I would really appreciate a copy to use myself.
Also is there a landrover one for the 2.2, as per the 2.4 one posted at the beginning of this thread. I have searched but can’t find one here or on line. |

Very good. Would it be too much to ask for the "source" (Excel? Word?) so I could change some details for my own needs? |

macfrank , you can open a PDF in word and it will auto convert into word format.
To do :- Download PDF file , Open Word , click on file, then open , then computer . Select directory in which downloaded file resides , a pop up box appears and in the pull down box above "file" and "cancel" buttons ( lower right hand side of pop up box) select PDF as file type. All pdf files now show. Click on the puma schedule pdf file you downloaded to highlight it and then click on the open button. It will now convert to word and you can edit and save. That's what I just did |
