Are you sure it's not the steering lock? Give the wheel a wiggle. WARNING.

Are you sure you have the correct vehicle?
Seriously though, the wife had this on her my15 dcpu and with a good firm tug and hold of the wheel while putting the key in got it going. I seem to remember she was parked on a slope at the time on full lock and couldn’t get it to turn. Brute force won Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |

Had the same issue on my 2015 Puma. Intermittently it won’t turn. Purchased a new OEM assembly and will fit at some point. Naturally the lock has been perfect since I ordered the replacement part 2015 90 XS Santorini Black

Yes it's quite common. After sometimes spending 5 mins jiggling the key I replaced mine at around 30,000 on my 2015 puma. Had same issue with a tdi 300 about 20 years ago, so not improved.

Mine was replaced under warranty at around two years old and only perhaps 10,000 miles. The LR service manager couldn't get it to turn when I took it for its service!
It all seems to depend on the consistency of the cheese which they made them from on any given day.... |

It’s been ok today 🙄
My worry is that I’ll get stuck again 🤔 |

Mine did this on 4 separate occasions (All at less than 3000 miles old) - ended up being sorted under warranty and they changed the locks. Managed to damage the steering column in doing so somehow, so that was replaced and then they damaged the indicator stalk. Quality LR dealership....

Worth trying a little graphite powder on your key. Might just free up the internals.
Did mine a couple of years ago when it got sticky, and still ok now. |
