How to bleed fuel system 2.2 Tdci
Hi,

Can anybody tell me how to bleed the fuel system on the 2.2 Tdci? the 2.Tdci didn't have a fuel lift pump; but does the 2.2 have one?

I probably need to disconnect one fuel line and use a hand pump to suck the fuel through (as I did with the 2.4) but I don't know at which point I should disconnect.

Or should a 2.2 start without bleeding after there is air in the system?

Regards
Eric

Just turn the key to the start position and you will hear the pump run. Do this a couple of times then you are good to start.

To prime my old Td5 I used to turn the ignition key but not start engine then pump the accelerator 7-8 times and then the pump started to self prime.

Hi,
Ok, there is a pump.
Did somebody already try to put a empty fuelfilter and let it fill automaticaly.

I always fill it with diesel and with the risk ...
