Td5 leak
Sorry, forgot to add pics.

Hi,

2004 110. Trying to trace a leak. Looks like thin oil on cardboard. I am losing a little coolant. Had new water pump, alternator, coolant hoses, radiator, intercooler, and egr delete fitted recently. Water pump looks wet. I'm thinking perhaps water is mixing with oil and dripping on the ground? This is my first td5 so I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is just oil or oil and coolant.

I also just removed the ccv from the turbo inlet and ran it to a mann provent then dumped the vapor to atmosphere.

That isn’t your water pump, in those images there is front of head, fan belt tensioner and vacuum pump/alternator assembly. Check the oils isn’t coming from the oil feed or return pipe for the vacuum pump. The seal can also go on the vacuum pump between the vacuum pump was and alternator. This is the same as a Toyota part 29341-64130 there is a Nippo Denso part number but it is not available.

Also check your front camshaft seal part number LDI100030.
The rocker cover gaskets are prone to leaking, I changed mine and the ‘top hat’ seals which the bolt go through and all is good now.

Cleaned it all up. The cam cap seal is loose. Have a new oring on order. Made a aluminum brace to help hold it in place. 04 110 TD5
