^ Rob I didn’t know 15 people with defenders when I organised the meet that the picture Grenadier has posted was taken at but along they came and we had a great time
I’m sure come your delivery time it won’t be hard to find another 14 to join you to taste the free pint of “gold fleck vodka” Grenadier has kindly offered, I won’t be one of the 14 as I can’t afford one but if I could would I.......well perhaps we could discuss that over a pint 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

Nice pic Rob at the end of the day, does it really matter what car or vehicle we drive as long as we enjoy it and have fun times with fellow owners and enthusiasts getting outdoors and having fun as we did at the weekend and it looks like you did at your meet. 2015 HT XS 90

Absolutely. It’s always nice to have a mixed bag. My 110 isn’t going anywhere. But needs must and the 90 has to go.

saw a new defender being badly driven on the A46 Evesham bypass today (overtaking / wrong lane on an island past traffic queue)
First thing is it looks big/ wide in the flesh Secondly, why are they still heavily camouflaged as they’ve been released now? |

Oh it’s big, a few mm longer and almost as wide as an L405 FFRR! One thing it ain’t is a “110” wheelbase sized vehicle and the “90” is bigger than the old 90 - another reason to believe that the Ingenium 2.0ltr Engine’s aren’t really suitable to haul such a big car along Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Just my two cents...
At first, I didn't like it much on the pictures on the Internet. But now I've seen it in real at the Land Rover Party and I must admit it's growing on me, to my great surprise. However, the pricing is insane, that Defender 110 X on show there is priced around €100k in France, with an additional €12.5k of taxes. Looking at the perceived build quality, there is no way I'd be willing to put that amount of money into such a car, no matter how much I like or want LR to succeed... “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique. -- 2009 2.4 Puma Defender 90 SW 1979 Land Rover Series 3 88" |

I also saw the new Def at LRP, also cut my head looking under it
I love it even more. Its a brilliant landy. However its a new model, new factory, new workforce. The first batch are not going to be great... Its comfortable, clever and lots of things I would want built in. Not cheap but its priced the same as Wranglers top spec one is about the same I believe. With the commercial being £35k + vat its spendy but not over priced. Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

No, it's almost the same size as an 80" Series 1 https://www.defender2.net/forum/post792387.html#792387 |

I’ve now seen several press reports where the comment has been that both models are not photogenic and look a lot better in the metal. It’s still difficult to find any article about how it drives though. I bought a copy of LRO (normally don’t touch that mag as they are so negative about more modern LR Products) thinking that they had driven one, but on reading the article it appears that they had as much access to it as any other magazine. Chances are that we were neighbors at the camp site then “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique. -- 2009 2.4 Puma Defender 90 SW 1979 Land Rover Series 3 88" |
