Well done Stig.
Looks like a good purchase. Have you been to a pub meet yet, or is that kind of thing not up your street? https://www.facebook.com/events/4863770455...9291585370 |

I was there this month, and earlier in the summer, July I think... it was Richard that found this one for me...
Maybe see you there... |

She looks a beauty! Well done.
Why do some have the double bumper? Was it just personal taste or some significance? Double bumper generally means ex-military, hence the big yellow bridge plate on the front, twin fuel tanks and a few other tweaks.
Mine spent a few years as a training vehicle in the Royal Transport Corps. |

Blatant thread hi-jack, but since you've put a chainsaw in the pic with your SIIA......
Click image to enlarge Great old vehicles for doing a bit of logging. Maybe they'll meet at Sturmer this winter. |

The front auxiliary bumpers along with the rear bumperettes were a UK military requirement to allow one vehicle to push another in an emergency (but only if it was a military specification rear cross member, the civvy one will bend). I can't tell from the photos if Mr Stig's vehicle has a military cross member or not, but it should have. |
