Fright Night
So after blaming our cats for making a hell of a mess in our kitchen a couple of nights back, tonight I am sitting in the lounge looking at the forum when I hear a sort of scratching sound from underneath our sofa in the lounge....

With some trepidation and moving of furniture, large object in hand in case it was something mouse/rat like I found a young hedgehog! Shocked

Clearly decided being fed with the cats and hibernating in my lounge was preferable to outside

Made the heart pound for a bit until I knew what it was mind you Rolling with laughter 2010 XS USW

Blimey, we have them in the garden but none have made it in the house.
Hedgehogs are great but usually covered in fleas. You may need to spray where he's been.

I would have been waiting for rats as well.

I would take a few fleas over rats any day Whistle

Hedgehog fleas do not like humans. But do get the cats treated for anti flea stuff. Do what you can to put it somewhere safe. Hedgehogs are becoming quite rare now.

hedgehogs are rare sights to see now, When I used to walk prince, we often come a cross a couple, at night. this is going back 6 years ago. I think we did have one in the garden two years ago, too.
I tell you lads what I have seen very often now, and that's foxes. One past in front of me when I was driving back from work last week. I know of one that lives in the industrial estate, that one popped its head out at me, when we bumped into each other. I backed off a little, and it popped its head out just to see if I was still there. Not the 1st time we had crossed paths, before that, he practically ran directly out in front of me too. Last year though ( princes last few months a live) I heard a nasty yelp. When I got around to the main road, a poor fox had bought it sadly. I would have picked it up off the road, but there was no where for me to tie up prince at the time. Lucky though someone had the same idea. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
