Front and rear diff oils done
Gearbox oil done Transfer case done.(considered the buzz gun to remove the filler plug, but in the end brute force did it) Oil change day cut short by the need for a blood test. More of the same oil fun tomorrow. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I can't get into my local tip in the Defender, and I certainly would be allowed to take a Sankey in! You're lucky if you can at yours!
I was reprimanded last time I took a load of rubbish down in the Disco (allowed in because it's not "commercial") because I was pouring a 5 gallon drum of waste oil into the tank. Apparently any container larger than 4 litres now means it must be trade waste. What a nonsense! No wonder there's fly tipping everywhere. |

4L 🤣 That’s all a couple of mowers would hold.
Wouldn’t a garage take it tip it out and give you the container back? I think there is a disposal / enviro fee though. But I’d rather that than £80k + a year councillors getting funded by it. Around here they are idiots too regarding what you can and can’t supposedly do. As said. No wonder there is flu tipping. And of course you guessed it, they’ll try and push that onto farmers too. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

We see more and more oils, petrols and paints being poured into the sewer system, very unpleasant because of the risk of explosions and gases, all because you can’t take anymore than 4 litres to the municipal tip 2015 HT XS 90

I must be lucky. My local tip allows me in with my DCPU and 5m trailer, usually loaded to the gunwales with garden waste. I have taken waste oil on a couple of occasions and that required a separate log entry of my vehicle reg, even though the oil was from a ride on mower? Actually, I also took a 2,500 litre heating oil tank to the tip on the trailer. Local council appear to know the issues a largely rural community have and fly tipping is a costly issue. |

Also on my tip run, I disposed of oils. I could only just lift the container with the oils but luckily for me, the waste oil container is before the main gate control for the tip. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Our tips used to be a nightmare, but over the last few years seem much better. Apart from helping to sort the waste properly they don't seem to mind anything being taken now. James
