Colour of engine oil.
I have recently had a full service on my 2.2 Puma which included an engine oil/filter change. I know the specialist uses the correct oil, Morris Multivis 5w30 ADT C1.
I checked the oil level just after the service and the oil was perfectly clean. About 2 weeks later it has changed to a much darker colour.
This never happened in my old TD5 which kept its colour until the next service.
Is this a peculiarity of the 2.2 Puma, has it something to do with the DPF? 2015 90 XS Station Wagon Puma 2.2

It's sadly the case. It always looks mucky after a couple of weeks.

Not sure it's the DPF, but mine does the same... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Td5 has a spinner. The oil will stay cleaner for longer as the spinner catches all of the carbon and heavy particles.

Ah the penny's dropped - MartinK reminded me that the TD5 had a centrifugal filter which kept the crud from the engine oil. Thanks for all your help folks. 2015 90 XS Station Wagon Puma 2.2
