Most likely 48 but the only sure fire way is to count. Pull the rubber cover off the centre, remove the nut and with the steering wheel in place count the splines with something pointy like a bradawl, pencil/pen, skewer or something. > 110 XS Double Cab

If ordering a new wheel or boss, be careful with 2015 MY on, they have DSC - stability control.
The steering wheel has a feature for a sensor on the column to measure the wheel angle.
Ensure the new wheel or boss is compatible with DSC if you have it. Thumbs Up

Post 2008.5MY they are all 48 spline.

Post 2015MY aftermarket wheels need a different cancelling arrangement due to the steering wheel angle sensor fitted for the standard-fit DSC system.

Originally, 90/110/127 were 36 spline for the 4-spoke Range Rover classic type wheel.

With the introduction of the Defender, they went to 48 spline for the 2-spoke rubber wheel.

At 1998MY (last year of the 300 Tdi) station wagons went to a derivative of the 2-spoke RR classic type wheel with a blob in the middle, and used a 36 spline column to support this. Non station wagons continued with the 48 spline 2-spoke wheel as above.

In the middle of 2008MY production, the 2-spoke RR classic type wheel was finally switched to 48 spline so all Defenders then had 48 spline columns regardless of wheel style.

For 2015MY production, the introduction of DSC meant a change to the indicator cancelling system but 48 splines were retained.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

On my TD5 I just popped off the raised centre bump cap thing and under neath on the wheel you could read off a model number (NRC_____) or something similar, can't remember.
That references a 48 spline wheel.
Saved removing it prematurely.
When you do remove it, loosen off the nut almost all the way, then wrestle with it so it's loose, then undo the last turn or 2 of the nut and remove. Saves you smashing yourself in the face with it Laughing
