I know the area you live, sounds like Sunny Corner area is it? Know all of Truro very well as i grew up there for nearly 20 years. Lived in Idless and St. Clements, just down the river from you. Now i live near Guildford, but do still go back. I do know a Detailer, he did the outside of mine for me. Panels came up lovely but to be honest didnt do a very good job around all the hinges etc of the Defender. I have seem some nornal cars that have come up very well though. Zag: Do you know anywhere i can get my rear crossmember refurbished on my 90 in Surrey, I would like it to be an Original look. Failing that, i will have to have a go myself. Current:D4 HSE Gone: BMW Z4MC Gone: Defender TD5 90 CSW Previous: Discovery TD5 ES (Gone) |

Guys - I'll PM you my location.
Had some rather odd stalker stuff recently! Arranged for a non stalking detailer to come and see me - he never turned up (I waited at home) and gave me a pathetic excuse. Others just haven't got back to me or don't seem up to the job (a few questions and they are stuck). I had a bird cr4p on the car (BM) two days ago - I always wash it straight off but this has damaged the paint (about 1.5" by 1/4") for some reason - used every product I have (P1 polish, supagard bird lime remover, Zaino Z5 pro, etc) but it's still there. It needs rotary polishing but I'm considering just buying one and having a go myself! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. This sounds like you are interviewing stalkers ! I like your novel approach to job creation down in Kernow ........ Zag.... DOTE needs a reliable stalker.... preferably one that can clean bird poo off cars, surf and be a demon on an MTB too..... not necessarily all at the same time though. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

I think DOTE already has already enough candidates to stalk him, half the forum probably

We are on the move to Cornwall in the next couple of years as well. Somerset is a great place to live/work but we want to give up the full time work bit
Starting to look around the Helford/Porthallow area to see what's on the market. We were down there in May and were amazed at the number of properties for sale compared to previous years - our guess was that people were selling their holiday homes. Bob |

Major error on my stalker/detailer post!
You know what I meant though! Bob - pricey area but only take agent prices as a guide then offer 20% less. You'd be surprised what offers are being accepted and how much BS local agents are spouting to try and prop up the market. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

Just can't believe the prices
This would be 700-800K in Reigate http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sa...32133.html There is a farm with outbuildings and 4 acres in Bodmin for 300K Can't get a 3 bed semi for that hear Truro, St Ives etc are the more expensive areas but still so cheap in comparison to Surrey |

Don't we know it ! Missed a cracker in Porthallow last year as we were, and still are, working on our chapel renovation - bit like the Forth Road Bridge really, when you think you have finished it is time to start decorating etc again - not an easy task when your living room is 50ft long, 23ft wide and about 22ft high and then there are all the other rooms as well. When we purchased our current place I put an offer in 25% less than the asking price by mistake, honest your honour, SWHMBO was not amused when I told her, in fact in was she who pointed out the error of my ways, but she was more than happy when the vendor accepted my asking price less 20% Not looking in Helford itself, way to expensive, nice to visit but not live. Any of the Hamlets/villages will do me as long as there is a pub in walking distance. We regularly stay at the Trengilly Wartha near Constantine and we quite like that area. Bob |

Found a couple of nice places just outside Bodmin, one set in a forrest
Prices are a lot cheaper in that area and the other advantage is that you can go beasty hunting If things don't get better at work soon we could be on the move very soon. Bob |

Bob - if you need any pointers/contacts/whatever, I know that area pretty well. We have various friends and relatives all over North and mid Cornwall! Oh and our Landy was essential when it flooded and we needed to see a client on Bodmin Moor. Nothing else could get through Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.
