A 110 specced up to match my Disco 2 is going to set me back a few pennies under £72k on the road.

Has anyone found the front winch option on the configurator yet? There is a winch accessory pack at (IIRC) a shocking £343 (steep for two shackles, a strop, and a manual), but I cannot find am actual winch.

I will certainly take my build well over the £72k mark.

Can't see a coil sprung option either.....

Coils only available on the 90 I think.

Looking at some photos of the bare body shell, that square panel of body colour on the side of the 90 is just a piece of trim stuck over the rear window, which I find a bit weird. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I thought they said the square panel was removable? It's just there for some aesthetic reason to do with square or strength or some BS.

Give it six months and some direct sunlight - the glue will soon give up.

Just ‘configured’ my preferred version. No option given to remove the panel. But it is where the both the ladder (LHS) and Stowage box (RHS) sit on that section of the 110. So either you have to live with it or get the Explorer pack to cover them. Bit silly really. Hopefully they’ll add the option to remove it. Monsieur Le Grenadier

I found an interior picture which showed that there was a substantial amount of internal trim there, suggesting it is not removable.

Looking further it seems as though there is something going through the alpine window as well.

Is there a prize on offer for the first person to spot a right-hand drive version on any website? Even the British Land Rover website doesn't have one! Japanese manufacturers don't have a problem in showing there cars in right-hand drive, so why does JLR? Now left.

That looks like a 110, it only the 90 where it is just a bit of square plastick stuck over the glass I think.

Also on the 110, the ALpine Light (TM, patent pending etc etc) is bifurcated with a structural piece going through the middle, presumably to strengthen the roof. On the 90 the Alpine Light is just a single opening. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Just read this on Autocar. Is he delusional or trying to gaslight us?

I've always thought they should have gone with the DC100. I liked it. It was small, chunky, and would have had great appeal - maybe not to traditionalists. I think it was a huge mistake to drop it. To me, this new Defender is actually the new Freelander. It's like a DC100, but with a tan. Now left.

Ah, that makes sense. That's a shame for the 110. On the black it almost fades away, otherwise it looks fairly ridiculous.

I think it must be to stop you putting your foot through the window when using the fold down steps (which will be handy when you need to seal the leaky sunroof).

Perhaps nobody told the Nitra chaps that the civilised world drives on the left!

Has anyone found a blind or cover for the loadspace yet? Like the Disco2 has to prevent the loadspavce becoming a help-yourself-shelf for tealeaves.

I can't see a non-leather interior option either.

That's stuffed it for the Vegans.

I can't see any towing options other than the (non-height-adjustable) swan-neck 50mm ball, although you can have it electrically deployable (wow).

That's stuffed it for ring & pin or NATO hitches, and high hitches then.
