Defender9 that is just stunning! You make it sound all too easy but I know it's not, I can only imagine the time and effort that has gone into that, not to mention expense!! Great work, another one saved for another 50 years....

Thank you James that is very kind of you, it’s mainly just nuts and bolts and although I can weld reasonably well I left the fabrication of the crossmember to a friend of mine. Although very original 60 odd years of farm work had taken its toll and there was quite a number of worn out parts which needed replacing, so yes ended up spending money at the likes of Dunsfold and Blanchard who still have quite good stocks of original parts.
