Nice.

Defender9 has been around Series Ones for a day or two, so he should know what he is doing. Thumbs Up

Been using mine today for odd jobs, makes a change form nice soft coil springs. Shocked

Mind your back John. Ner Ner

Coil springs are much kinder on my back these days Charles but not having at least one Series 1 in the garage would be giving up on a 45 year old hobby and shorter drives give me as much pleasure as the long distance stuff I used to do with the likes of Ken Wheelwright and others.

By the way congratulations on being awarded the Ken Poole shield for the vehicle regularly used when you attended the Norfolk Rally. Ken Poole was a dear friend of mine who died far too young. I know Joan Poole would be delighted it went to a real enthusiast Thumbs Up

Defender9 that is just stunning! Thumbs Up You make it sound all too easy but I know it's not, I can only imagine the time and effort that has gone into that, not to mention expense!! Great work, another one saved for another 50 years.... Thumbs Up Bow down

Thank you James that is very kind of you, it’s mainly just nuts and bolts and although I can weld reasonably well I left the fabrication of the crossmember to a friend of mine. Although very original 60 odd years of farm work had taken its toll and there was quite a number of worn out parts which needed replacing, so yes ended up spending money at the likes of Dunsfold and Blanchard who still have quite good stocks of original parts.
