Here comes bankruptcy and imminent divorce!!
Just bought this little farm find with a mate. Its originally a petrol but the lump in it is a 2.4 diesel. British army finest squaddie carrier! We are looking to return it to original state if we can. Any thoughts. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Shipping is my thing. Like the idea of going back to original. A motor like that deserves the respect |

Hi Dave,
Looks great, funny when I was looking at a series I was the one who was unsure.... Wife said just buy it!!! I went round it on the ramps prior to buying and a screw driver I was using went right through in places I've already named yours 'The Gaffer' Looking at the plate. Given what its going to ask of you doing it up, it could be quite apt. Funny only today I was talking to a colleague about doing my Series up and one job... changing the crank pulley seal. What a job, working during winter at night under a car port. Flood lights, took us 3 hrs swearing and larger and larger bars / hammers... However once done, two very happy fellas and cheaper than a night in the pub Love my series and the events and people I have met since owning it. Good look doing up the 'Gaffer' Are you keeping the van sides.... kitting it out inside? Mine still requires a lot doing but its usable and fun As bought Click image to enlarge now Click image to enlarge |
