Cross Member bolts
Hi I am after replacement bolts in stainless steel for rear cross member.
Anyone know what the part code might be?
I think the bolts are M10 120mm
Ideally I am after set of 4 with washers and nuts included. Many thanks

M10x110. Just order some A4-80 ones from a local fastening supplier or online. I have used Westfield many times:

It's only a personal opinion, but personally I would not replace bolts that secure the rear seatbelts with stainless.

(In fact I generally wouldn't replace any ferrous fasteners with stainless, but that is a different story).

Hi Blackwolf
I didn’t realise the bolts had anything to do with the rear seat belts on a 110 but I’ll take your word for it.
If I don’t replace with stainless then any idea where to get replacement m10 x 110 flange bolts from - I cant seem to find then easily

Look for a local 'fasteners' type place and they will most likely be able to assist

Dan at Duckworth parts was offering these LR bolts in one of his recent posts.
Worth sending him a pm if you want original.

Presumably, you want to replace them for the aesthetics? If so, why not clean up the originals in-situ and paint them a suitable colour? Getting them out can be a bit of a pig of a job. Darren

Stainless is generally very brittle and certainly not ideal in a 'stressed' situation.......

Firstly because SS anywhere round aluminium alloys can initiate horrible corrosion and chemical welding phenomena, and secondly because unless you can ensure that you obtain A4-316 fasteners they will be less strong than the 8.8 that you take out. Then there is the absence of elasticity inherent in stainless steels, meaning that they break rather than stretch.

I would rather deal with a rusty 8.8 fastener than a cold welded stainless one any day.
