Having just looked up that part number as mine has the same issue, it's beggars belief the Genuine part price for that circa £50 or so.
Add this to the fact it's poor quality and the rubber boot degrades creating the need for a replacement in the first place it isn't very good is it. The door switches aren't far behind either in being crap quality too. Then LR want a premium for the price as well, for poor quality. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2 BONNET BURGLAR ALARM SWITCH AMR5633 can be used you need the plug and wiring from the old switch and new plug to make converter lead
https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic66338.html not so premium price and reduces recycle reuse Last edited by dorsetsmith on 19th Aug 2019 7:32am. Edited 4 times in total |

Yes, the price is rather shocking!
I guess that that 's the problem with running a vehicle which the manufacturer considers a "premium brand"! I wonder how much the equivalent switch for the new Pretender will be though. |

I just bought the whole switch, although I did have some success repairing the old boot with cyanoacrylate 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
