Used to come pre drilled but easy to just put one in yourself when you know tent height. Make sure you have some slope on ladder when you mark for drilling, it allows for different ground and is easier to climb.

You need to drill the holes. I fitted the extention ladder and whilst pushing the locking pins in, moved the ladder up and down a bit. This way it leaves a mark on the main ladder so you know your drilling in the centre and your pins will fit perfectly. 110 D250 SE HT
