Depending on what we hear back and given how many of us are interested, they do a discount for a bulk buy. Worth considering, even if it only saves enough for a couple of jars..
RRP: £185 x5: £175 x10: £169. If they have a commercial bone in their body, sure they’d be happy to get a bulk buy from a forum as important as Def2? Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Got the feedback. Could anyone who's fitted the alternative systems we normally all refer to from mobile centre etc have a look and see if it looks similar and if there's any pitfalls?
This was the reply on the bending the wire..
And I'm just figuring out how to upload the pdf file of the installation instructions! |

well done chaps.
As the 2.2 runs CAN bus - does it mean you can get away without the manual wiring required to all the inputs? bit confused as the instructions show a load of connections for clutch, speed, brake etc but in the text it says you only need that if there is no CAN bus? or is the "use this for 2.2D" on page 3 meaning its just a tap into the clutch wire that is required? Thanks Mike |

No a 2.4 and 2.2 will need the hard wiring, not CAN. The clutch/brake signals aren't transmitted on CAN on Pumas.
Strange they don't have a page for the 2.4 clutch switch 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

They agreed.....
"The only detail that the Cruise could use that is present on the Defender CAN system would be vehicle speed and given that manual connections for Brake and Clutch detection are already required, using CAN to read the vehicle speed isn't viable as this would entail 2 additional wire connections, whereas reading the analogue speed signal is just one wire connection. Best regards George" Gives good confidence they know their field! |

Since they seem to do a TD5 version I would be interested in a group buy as well - provided they can mix and match?!
Now all I have to do is work out if I’m a 6 wire or a 7 wire throttle... presumably this is as easy as it sounds and I just count the cables in the plug (or given Solihull QA there’ll be some unsheathed portion of cable where I can count the strands...) |
