Limp mode and power loss
Not the best start to a holiday......On the way to the airport when power output reduced / orange engine warning light on!!

Luckily we hadn't gone that far from home and could come off the dual carriageway turn round and head back home. Made it home at 40mph max and got a friend to transfer bags to their car and take us all to the airport.

There was no sign of anything over heating and no oil or water coming out the vehicle. I'm suspecting a turbo failure? Turbo hoses have already been changed for silicone and I couldn't here any hissing or rushing of air when we were driving back home. I only had a new turbo fitted about 5 months ago and more recently had an Alisport intercooler fitted.

Vehicle is at least parked up safely at home with someone looking after the house as well while we're away (could have been much worse if it actually broke down on the motorway!!).

Any ideas from anyone as it won't get to a garage now for a couple of weeks.

Harry

I had intermittent low power issues recently. Found wires chaffing on the red lifting bracket at the rear of the engine. Repaired bare wires and removed bracket. I also lubricated the turbo actuator with penetrating oil. No issues since carrying out repairs.
