I think you can safely extend that poll to the last 15 years of production and still get a minimal yeah sayers.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

JFH, they have to leave something for the aftermarket, having said that when you look at the real estate to walk on if real, its not little.

I saw the 110 in full cammo drive past me over the weekend. Sadly i was on a motorway in Italy so neither had the time to take a photo nor turn around. It was accompanied by a RR. If it doesnโt change a huge amount from what I saw, itโs basically a slightly lower D4 . Monsieur Le Grenadier
I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Grenadier, the new defender was wrapped and cladded in D4 style camo, hence were all the D4 comments came from.
The latest autocar render is imo the best indication so far of what it will look like body wise and looks pretty unique with lots of retro defender design nods Click image to enlarge |

^^^But that's still someone's impression of what it might/could/possibly look like. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Saw Lord March drive the SWB up the hill climb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on the telly (ITV4) last night.
He said that he owned one of the last Defenders and that the replacement "drove as any Defender owner would expect" and that it was "very good". Hmmm. Festival of Speed is a very commercial undertaking. |

๐๐๐ฝ looks different to normal back window wrap. Looks like on rollers.
I guess if they dont break down they are not testing hard enough. |

They do test them to extremes - the tricky thing is that you take that image at 'face value' but the test may actually be for a component or a concept that is either early stages or never actually makes it to production as too many JLR folks have ended up in that situation!
Our daughter is super-lucky.... she's one of those who is given a perfectly good vehicle and told to 'take it to the limit... and then a bit more...' |

I like it...but I can not afford to buy one
Be interesting to see if it lends itself to DIY servicing, what the road tax is likely to be and how much the evil insurance companies will want to insure it. These are the day to day costs that would be good to know. |
