The trouble over here Politically there is a hate storm against diesels (even if we all used AdBlue) which will drive us eventually off the road with the sandal wearing veggie eaters wanting us to use donkeys instead.

In fact I am fed up with people living in places like this....

telling me how to live in a place like this!!!! AAAAAGHHH.
 Cheers Don.

Also agree.

Just to add as well, in respect of rural areas like Cornwall that without a car, employment can be very difficult and attending a hospital appointment from some areas of the county impossible to get both ways in a day.

Agree with you mate, agree we all have to share this country/planet, but I like my land rover because Half the week I take public transport everywhere. But the other half itโ€™s impossible for me to take public transport. I never fly or cruise.

I use mine for work too. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

Make it 8. I only do 8 - 10k miles a year.
Nothing like what they do.

Funding distribution from the tax payer isnโ€™t equally spent either.. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

London/South East subsidises the rest of the country.

Adding petrol to the mix, interestingly newer BMW petrols are slower than petrols from a couple of years ago because they have added particulate filters and they throttle performance .. this whole thing is getting silly

one of the guys in the office was criticising my LR recently re emissions, interestingly he has a 03 Mondeo and does 20000 miles per year and his Mrs has a 10 reg VW Golf diesel doing 9000 per year. My Landy is an 11 reg and does 3-4000, I cycle or use the train when I can and do 8000 miles per year in a 66 reg petrol BM (my Mrs dosnt drive) . I told him to do the Maths!! DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

If that Mondeo is like most of the 10+ year old diesel cars/vans I see, they are smokey stinking pieces of crap too, which never seem to be serviced! Laughing

I agree though, there's so much more to it than just emissions of a particular vehicle, like you, my Defender only does about 3-4k a year and it's not smokey at all despite being a 2004 year.
