Hospital...8o mile round trip.
Hearing test for daughter....100 mile round trip. Cinema...40 mile round trip... I fell over a charging lead plugged into an electric car in a carpark. It was carelessly looped along the ground. Cuts and bruises and a little p....d off. We are told that electric vehicles will get better so why buy one now when the super dooper improved version is a little down the tracks? What trade in value will your current electric or hybrid get you when everyone wants the latest up to date version? Scrap before it's time. Not very green. I know someone who bought a hybrid a few years old. Twice it ran out of charge and left her stranded. No petrol in it as she wants to run electric. The funny thing is that the second time it left her stranded she only got 20 miles from a full charge!!!!!Obviously faulty which is why it was sold on in the first place. Definitely won't be economic to repair. She is now trying to sell it. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

I can just hear the conversation.
"Hello is that 999 emergency services?" "Yes it is. How can I help?" "I need an ambulance urgently but it must be electric or at least hybrid powered" I'm afraid all we have is a diesel powered ambulance ready to go" "No thanks, I'll wait for the electric powered one" Somehow I do not think that the champions of electric/hybrid powered vehicles would be too put out if a diesel powered ambulance arrived. What do you think?.... 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |
