Sounds a great conversion. Also interested what the interior configuration is like with the unusual door positions. Do you have a thread somewhere? James

Unfortunately I am having some teething problems with the engine cutting out, think that it may be related to the ignition switch rather than the new engine, looking to replace it this week, so will be in a better position to give an honest appraisal once sorted.
The one problem I did have was vibration and noise, coupled with clutch slip. This was caused by going to a single mass flywheel and a composite clutch. I have since had the clutch changed for a heavier one that has sorted out the vibration/noise, but required servo assistance as it if a very heavy clutch. It now copes with the power, accelerating in higher gears without issues. It is 240bhp so quite some load when using the loud pedal! Once ignition switch swapped then may start new thread about build and ongoing developments. Nice upgrade...
I was goin to do the same, but we found out my injectors were just no good any more. That is a very clean engine bay. Enjoy your new upgrade. Can't leave well enough alone |

Now getting more use out of it and learning the strengths.
Using fifth gear for almost everything once moving is almost as good as an automatic. More economical too,not quite sure by how much, but must be 20% or so. 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |

Unfortunately I have been having problems with the engine not running properly, slowly working through possible causes. Not my daily driver so has taken a back seat.
To be fair I wish I had not bothered or used another installer. A 3.9V8 would have been easier, cheaper and allowed me to run many thousands of miles before I was out of pocket on fuel. Think very carefully if you’re ally want the problems of all the non standard parts. 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |
