Only yesterday while trying again to source the leak through bulkhead into footwell did I hand tighten that bloody bolt securing the red lifting eye to engine block! Will have to have a look at pipe it was resting on to see if there's any chafage!! Sweep

In short, No. I only had a half hearted effort 30 mins before Missus was due to go out in 110! Bad admin on my part. I have seen the water ingress manual Zagato put up so will trawl through it when time permits to eliminate all poss leak points!! I have already used captain tolleys leak sealer under windsreen which appeared to stop one leak! although it may well be the same place that is leaking again... I have also removed one of the two bungs in heater air intake channel although it could be the heater box/bolts for this that needs sealing against the bulkhead.
I won't get emotional about it although I would like to find the leak once and for all to save the Missus getting wet feet Dgardel, that could be the way to go for me too Sweep 2.2 110 XS SW ---------------------------- Gone; 08 D3 XS BN55 WPV G4 4.4V8 D3. O7 G4 Mongolian Recce 110 USW |

Good luck Sweep !
I have had the windscreen to bulkhead seal replaced, new door seals etc. All seemed fine for a while but now the leak is back worse than ever It used to only leak when parked but now water is coming in whilst on the move. Back in the dealers on the 4th of July to see if they can find the problem - again - plus other warranty work on the paintwork. However, yesterday I found the paint flaking off the n/s gutter at the front. On closer inspection there appears to be hole in the sealer so maybe that is a clue as the water does appear to be coming from the area by the door. I didn't destroy to much having a look as I don't want to give the dealer any excuse for not repairing the gutter. Bob |

Hope you get it sorted Bob, as you say it's probably coming through the small crack in the gutter, doesn't need much excuse to find it's way in. Windscreen to bulkhead seal will be the avenue after going through water ingress manual stage by stage

Yep,just checked mine and slightly loose. Slight turn of both retaining bolts sorted it. Nice call.
While I was doing it my hand was hitting off a grey covered piping coming out of a small 90 degree shaped plastic unit that was on the end of the unit that holds the 4 fuel feed pipes. I could swivel the plastic unit backwards and forwards. Is this O.K. or should it be tight? Seems to just clip on. Any ideas? 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai Last edited by spudfan on 26th Jun 2011 6:43pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Had the same fault on my, paint started flaking of the roof NSF gutter, once they started looking ended up with a complete respray on the roof. Also new bulk head seal as mine was leaking through the same area used to get puddles on both sides. |

It is the bright red thing sticking up at the back of the engine. Good view of it from the passenger side. If you cannot see it, it's probably fallen off. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
