coming a long great there!! I did have a few ideas on mine, but you may have read that two stole mine at the beginning of the year, How sweet of them eh.
I fitted an ITG panel filter and a Alisport breather to mine. those are neat upgrades to do to the 300. Mad to hear the motor grow when you put the power on For the dash side of things, I would look at TD5 stuff, I did toy with the idea of switching mine over for the later dash so the head unit fitted better, but again, never happened. Great work!!!
just been through a 'tidy up' phase on my 300tdi cab - what a difference new fitted LR rubber mats make!! I'm now looking at mild tuning options (boost pin & ring etc) and noticed the EGT analogue gauge on the Fourby website. They say it can't be fitted in the standard EGR blanking plate because of the probe depth - what is your solution? 2000 D2 TD5 - ahhh bless 2006 D3 - no longer with us and sadly missed 1997 300tdi d90 - now with electrics that work! - now with a brand new custom made soft top fitted …...…...............….new chassis now all fixed and driving like new 2010 D4 alas no more, but a lovely colour (Nara) 2016 D4 battery magically fixed with NOCO charger |

Appreciate this is an incredibly late response, but it might be useful.
I bought the probe and gauge as a kit off eBay from China for much cheaper than what Fourby want for it and I'm convinced its the same product. The probe seems to be long enough to be in the exhaust gas stream but not too long. It seems odd that they can't modify their own probe to fit. Instagram.com/mattbuckley19 |

Your gauge does look VERY similar to the Fourby unit!
Fourby say their probe, when fitted in the EGT blacking plate is too short to reach the Exhaust gas stream I have bitten the bullet and shelled out for a series of Stack gauges to mount in a new centre dash panel like yours (mud console..…. https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic73122.html 2000 D2 TD5 - ahhh bless 2006 D3 - no longer with us and sadly missed 1997 300tdi d90 - now with electrics that work! - now with a brand new custom made soft top fitted …...…...............….new chassis now all fixed and driving like new 2010 D4 alas no more, but a lovely colour (Nara) 2016 D4 battery magically fixed with NOCO charger |
