I'm looking to get some replacement modular rims but the offset is troubling me. Will ET-35 make the wheels stick out too far past the arches? Ill be running BFG AT 265 75 16 and want to add a bit more of a stance to the car but I fear ET-35 will make them stick out too much.
I've run a search but can't find anything definitive. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Matt |

Standard LR 7 inch wide alloys have an offset of +33, so -35 is going to be nearly 3 inches further out!
A common choice are wheels with zero offset and modulars should be available in that configuration. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Nice looking 90!
You should notice a difference with a full width intercooler but remember there's a lot of things to tweak on the 300tdi to get the most out that intercooler so if power is what you're after there's plenty of threads on here for where to start . Thanks LRA, that’s as I thought. I’ll go with the zero offset ones.
Trickster, I’m excited for when the new IC goes on, it should be good. I can definitely notice a difference with the new transfer box and exhaust. The revs are much more usable and the exhaust makes it feel a lot less strangles if that makes sense. |

Its been a busy week with fitting all the stuff that has been cluttering up the garage for the past month.
First job was to fit the Wipac LED light set. Very straightforward other than having to switch the wires over - my soldering skills have diminished since the last time I picked up a soldering iron 5 or 6 years ago. The DRLs were installed under the bumper, ready to be wired in. Click image to enlarge The roof rack went in with only a minor hitch in that the middle clamps are obstructed by the alpine window, rendering them unusable so it’s current held on with 4 clamps whilst I thing of a solution. Click image to enlarge A dual battery system is mid way through installation, bad weather and a lack of parts out a halt to that until the parts turn up. In the meantime the inverter was mounted behind the passenger seat on the bulkhead. Click image to enlarge The most notable change however is the new wheels and tyres. In the end I went for 16x8 et0 which I think looks great, fill the arches nicely and are much quieter than the mud terrains they replaced. The coming week will be spent waiting for parts to arrive to finish off the electrical jobs and probably buying more things that I don’t need. |

Another busy week juggling deadlines and work in the defender. This week, progress was made with the DRL’s which are now installed and functioning. The dual battery system is getting there, a bit more soldering and wiring to be done then that’ll be compete.
Click image to enlarge Onto more exciting matters, the rear seats have been installed along with carpet which now makes the rear look positively luxurious. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Thanks to everyone that chipped in with suggestions for a wheel carrier, I went with the britpart one as assuming the wheel doesn’t fall off, I’ll consider it a good buy. Click image to enlarge I also purchased a Mud Stuff sub locker and sub last week somewhat impulsively. Oops. Anyhow, the locker is installed under the cubby and has raised it nicely so it’s more usable as an arm rest whilst driving which is a added bonus. The sub will be wired in this weekend once I’ve worked out how to get the wires out of the locker, but I’m sure some solution will manifest itself. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Like the upgrades that you have done so far i then thought the grey cubby box looked out of place then i saw that you have got grey door cards, so all is good again, very nice 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

L110, I’ve been toying with the idea of changing everything to black but the price of replacement door cards quickly put me off that idea.
