Hi All, many of you reading this post may or have probably had the same problems that I am now facing, the clutch on a PUMA 2.2 motor ... notorious for packing up early, like 50,000 to 60,000 kms or less, my question is, can somebody please direct me to the 'source' of a good quality heavy duty clutch, I live in South East Asia so it has to be a dealer who will ship to me, thanks in advance

It's got to be either LOF or Clutchfix. Both have very good reputations and a selection of Defender clutches depending on use. James

Thanks to both PCM and James, onto these companies already ... I live in Laos which makes it trickly for some people to send the parts to but I'll get there ...

Thanks all, I ordered the clutch etc. through LOF a guy called Luke was so efficient and prompt in replying and could send the parts to Laos, I reckon it was all over in 30 mins with parts on their way ....
Pics below, my Defender 130 Puma 2.2 boasts winches front and rear, duel independent batteries, re Mapped to 160BHP from 122 BHP, compressor inboard, 15" x 10" rims, kept the tire size to stop rubbing in the Chassie, no lifter kit Defender 110, 25 years old looks in mint condition, V8 3.6 lit hotted up to 4.4 Lit with lots of hidden goodies in side We use our vehicle in our Survey company deep in the jungles and rivers of Laos, will have to dig out the off stuff which is usually found in my project files We drive long wheelbase Range Rover around town ... too good and too expensive to take off road .... Ha ha ha ! Cheers, Paul Click image to enlarge er in 30mins and parts were on their way ! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
