Intercooler Fitting Musings. Radiator lugs need trimming?
Sat at work reminiscing about the day I fitted an Allisport intercooler to my TDCi Big Cry

To cut a long story short, it would not fit. It had a hell of a wonk on and would not sit plumb meaning that the plugs would not locate in their sockets. This was caused by the allisport intercooler fouling two plastic lugs; one either side of the radiator which I had to cut off (shown red below)

I have not seen anybody else report this, has anybody else experienced it? Hope the intercooler doesn't split now as others have experienced as it's not a job I fancy doing again

Yes I had to trim off the lugs on the radiator to allow the intercooler to sit properly. I found it relatively easy to fit but I haven't got air con on mine. I'm sure the instructions that came with the intercooler said about trimming the lugs off also about spacers on the slam panel support bars. Thumbs Up
