2008 Defender 130 Puma 2.4 HCPU Zermatt Silver

Clutch biting point

Hi All
I've just fitted a new HD clutch which is working as it should but the biting point is very low on the clutch pedal. Is it possible to adjust this or will it settle in? The clutch pedal itself is not in need of adjustment, only the biting point.

Watching with interest.

Mines the same after recent new clutch and slave cylinder; did try to adjust under clutch cover (on bulkhead) but no joy. Kind of got used to it now but driving my daughter’s car yesterday was such a difference, I need to get back on it.

Just having a chat with Ben at Clutchfix and he says

Hi All
130 TDCI 2.4. The clutch pedal is still in it's original position which is perfect so i'm reluctant to use the ajuster under the bonnet and yes i did change the slave cylinder which was surprisingly easy to bleed. Yes it is a clutchfix item. I know i'll get used to it but i don't think my other half will. 130 crew cab

I actually have the same thing. According to clutchfix (month ago) it was a good thing as a higher biting point suggests a worn plate. Since then I bleeded it a couple of times and no air came out. Puma 110" SW

1998 Defender 110 300 Tdi SW Alpine White

Mines the same also, I replaced everything with the new clutch and the bite point is right at the floor, I've bled it a dozen times, adjusted the peddle travel and clutch master cylinder rod to no avail, I'm thinking of fitting a longer rod to the master to fix the problem.
