well lads and lasses, Proctas back After what happened, I have been doing the rounds on ebay and auto trader, I did find three, But they were sold, or were just to far to secure budget wise sadly. The one I was after was sold the day I secured the loan to go for it. Then on two weeks ago today, My mum finds a couple of landys from LRO.com for sale. One needed a spare wheel, and the other wasn't as good a spec as this one.
Anyway after doing some research on here, about a few things ( thanks very, very much lads for your help!! i will have a beer for you lads) This one came up for the same price as the one i was looking to buy, but again in better spec. ( thanks mum for finding this one) I will copy and paste spec, 003 Defender Td5 County Station Wagon, 6 Seats. One previous owner before me, I bought it in 2006 from a Main Dealer. Heated Front and Rear Screens plus heated front seats in Techno Trim. Discovery transfer gears fitted in 2007 by Ashcrofts so will cruise happily at motorway speeds plus more recent remap of ECU to keep up with modern traffic. Good condition for age unmolested and not used off-road. 114k miles with no smoke, MOT due in Dec 2019. All previous MOT's present to prove mileage. Sad to see it go after 13 years but it is not being used now. RARE TWO OWNER FROM NEW So i ran the seller, and we had a chat about it, and me and my dad went to foxton to view it, and if it was a good one, i would take it. A few things it needs but again not major, cosmetic, and a bit of welding to the floor pan, but the MOT tester never clocked it for its test, So i did a bit of barting with the seller, and i got her for 12000, which i think is good for the spec its got, and mileage. So lads here is BeaTie reason for the name is the Reg starts with BT, she is better con than 300 TDI, sort of like my HDI in away and my dad said its nice and smooth. My mum said it purrs. ( i have not told my dad its been tuned, other wise he would winge on) Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge a few odds and sods, which will be sold depending if my mum is interested in them. Click image to enlarge I do have the TD5 clock thats going for sale soon and some grils, I will be reverting it back to the proper grills and doing a way with the rotten spots, Also i have been working on a side project before i bought a TD5 so it was ready to go on, when i found one. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Yeah its a optmil removerable boss, and i have bought the boss lock to, We have installed Ram bars too, on our driveway, so security has been improved drastically. So the (unts dont have it so easy now. So stay with me on this one too lads like you have done, and we will be away This one is more closer to what i wanted to do with my old one. Its got full interior, But before i start with rolling out stuff, I have to insure it on monday, tax her, fit the boss, we may have another go tomorrow on getting that bloody wheel off. Then its a case of starting from there. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Best of luck with her Procta
Just goes to show that the "right one" will turn up if you're prepared to wait a while. |

cheers lads, Thanks for you help and advice lads, I couldn't wait till I got it home to show you lads! The steering wheel is like a factory car unit rather than a racing car. its a small thing but its going to do the job.
Anything help on security tips would be sport on via PM, that way it will keep another one safe! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Great news Procta, A very original looking Td5, always did favour the note of a five cylinder engine.
Good luck with it, looking forward to the new thread. |
