It's Moab. The dirt there is like a fine powder. It's very strange how it sticks to some things, but not others. If it comes in contact with anything wet, it's instantly caked on. Click image to enlarge it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |

Thanks ~ they are a rare breed in this neck of the woods, and I'm banned from the local main dealers 😜

This Facebook post puts those air bellows photos in context:
"@jonnylieberman took these pix and said, "Bad news: the new Land Rover Defender most assuredly does NOT have a solid rear axle. Good news: we caught FOUR Defenders on the very most difficult part of Poison Spider Trail here in Moab. If these things can traverse Poison Spider, they don’t need ‘em!"" -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

WOW. if they were out on Poison Spider Mesa, and cleared it all, that's really impressive. That should silence a lot of nay-sayers out there.
If JLR Were smart, they would post some videos of that to prove the capabilities to people. it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |

Think those modern LR enthusiasts know how capable their FFRR, RRS & D5's are but also that they are limited by pretty long wheelbases and low hanging plastic bits which tend to stop people before the car does. Well with the same hardware but with much more aggressive body geometry and larger tyres be in no doubt that it will be more than capable where it matters. Instagram: l90andy

Hi Markb110. To clarify me saying larger tyres, I meant larger outer diameter, so despite seeing them running 20" wheels, there will still be sufficient sidewall. Also there will be choice, not just 20" - look at the existing size ranges on the cars I mentioned for a clue.
Mick, quite agree but JLR actively left that market behind when they were part of Ford's Premier Automotive Group. Same with Utility companies and military. For better or worse... The long wheel base in the video is a Range Rover sport isn’t it? (Serious question!)

Only in upper body form. The dirty bits are all Defender. The RRS things are actually the mules in the purest sense of the word, the boxy Defender prototype is the whole thing with some disguise panels bolted on. Instagram: l90andy
