Australia 2006 Defender 110 Td5 XS DCPU Java Black
My VW "99" relay for the variable intermittent wipers arrived today so I installed that. it was pretty easy really, just unscrew the dash and then find the wiper relay by turning the wipers on and seeing which one clicks.... once i found it i yanked it out and replaced it with the "99" relay then screwed up the dash again.

It works a treat and is so much better to have either one wipe when you just quickly press the wash button for a quick clean or 3 wipes when you want a bit better clean by touching the wash button a bit longer. ( previously it was 5 wipes whenever you pushed the button no matter what). the variable intermittent is pretty cool also and better than standard. Pretty good mod for $15 Very Happy

Anyway here are some pics.

Relay ready to be installed

This is the relay that needs to be swapped out.... second from the right next to the flasher relay.

99 relay installed ready to put instrument cluster back on

She's a beauty! Same truck as mine and colour etc. But yours looks better with the huge tyres and the red Aussie dirt on them!

Enjoy!

Thumbs Up
