Passenger side front electric window did not work anymore. Not the fuse, not a snapped cable. So took it to the dealer this morning, just heard it is the electric motor itself that malfunctions. With some tapping they could get it to work again briefly, but that did not last. Cause is moisture, probably condensation. Nothing wrong with the inside of the door panel or frame. That is all fully Dinitrolled. New motor ordered, which will arrive at 2 PM with the second parts tour, so truck will be ready for pick up still tonight.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

A pigeon met its maker.
The thud at 60mph woke up Mrs Greeni (yes the v8 burble is THAT soothing)! I didn't even slow down... Feathers came in as the sides were rolled up (standard position). Well I finally had a minute spare so picked two of the easiest jobs to do.
1. Fitted 2 new brake pedal return springs 2. Adjusted the handbrake What a faf both were to complete, especially the springs. Lets hope neither need doing again soon. |

Busy week for the two Defenders, both serviced, new tyres on mine (BFG 265/75R/16 KO2) tyres from mine which were (BFG 265/75R/16 KO2) onto SWMBO (she is delighted) made it look more purposeful with the wheel spacers was her description
Clutch spring fitted, what a difference that has made Warranty works including replacing both leaking rear diff seals and steering box seal Water ingress in 3 places rectified. Glad to have the Defender back so I can drive it and enjoy it after having fitted the Optimill front hinges, replacement chequerplate and new cubby box 24 hrs before taking it in for the above works to be done. The automatic loan cars I had, Evoque and Discovery sport are very easy to drive but donโt have the character of a Defender 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |
