Check no one has been playing with indicator wiring. They sometimes do this to aid theft.

Would a dry joint cause the fuse to blow each time?

Did that before posting. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Now that I have calmed down, I have products fail for the last few days Dyson cleaner, Power tools and Broad Band yesterday most of which I have sorted, the final straw was having the vehicle off the road.
SH.M.B.O. took the 110 yesterday to do her shopping, indicators were working for most of the time, she was indicating when suddenly the stopped, she parked up and checked both fuses, finding one had blow changed it which blew as soon as she tried the indicators. Me being a male ranted thinking I'll fix it cos I'm a man, well I couldn't. Cold and soaked to the skin I couldn't find any reference as to the location of the flasher unit, why isn't this shown in the handbook?, I know its above the fuses but which one is it, couldn't find anyone local that has a replacement and as I need the 110 back on the road asap I got more frustrated. Having slept on it I now sort of understand that the vehicle has a dead short and that's the reason the fuse is blowing so its now out in the sun shine to see if I can find the problem. If it’s due to the wet I would pop the rear indicators off and check tow electrics if fitted. I think they suffer with water spray the most. Good luck.

Well confidence in my male status has bee restored. Replaced blow F21 fuse, right hand indicator worked left hand giving indication that bulb blow removed rear left hand indicator covered, removed intact bulb put it back in and hay presto working.
The only problem now is no tell tail when alarm door lock open or close is there another fuse apart from F21 and F31 to check? Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

I inadvertently fused my indicators last year and had exactly the same problem. I eventually had to replace four separate blown fuses. Unfortunately, I didn't record which ones, but go through the fuse box under the steering wheel methodically and you'll find them. Darren

went out and checked to see if the alarm was sounding , leaver door open and try and lock doors should produce a chirp from alarm, NOTHING . A couple of minutes with the Haynes manual and I found that the alarm sounder is fuse F6 which had also blown, changed and checked indicators flask when door lock and opened and alarm sound if door left open and I trued to lock vehicle so all is good for now.
I can only put it down to the amount of rain over the last couple of days, well that's my thought for now and faith restore that because I'm a man I can fix anything except Virgin Media network faults. Now I'm stumped.
After a trip out it appears that the alarm sounder and flash of the indicators when locking or unlocking the doors has again stopped. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Something is causing it to blow and I am lost as to what, I have checked under the wheel arches no sign of tampering.
I'm hoping that it is something that got wet on Friday and Saturday and needs time to dry out. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |
