Td5 new steering pump , pipe don’t fit
Hello everyone , i’ve Fitted a new PAS pump to me defender , but the pipe does not fit , so I must have got a disco 2 pump , unfortunately i’ve binned my original defender pump , does anyone know if I can buy the defender part to screw into the pump ? Or am I best heading to eBay to get a cheap pump and take it off that ??? I do not wish to strip it all out again if I can help it

Maybe your local hydraulic place could make you a flexi pipe up with the correct ends? 1999 Defender TD5 110

As above may be your best bet. Was in pretty much the same position a couple of years ago when I snapped the same part on the pump body. I couldn't find the right part that screws into the pump for love nor money and ended up buying another secondhand pump from a breaker.

I maybe completely wrong, but from the photo the pump looks to have a threaded adapter already inserted. Is it possible this needs to be removed for your pipe to be installed?

Spooky that it's me that's the starter of both those threads!

I /may/ have an old pump in the garage.... I'll take a look when I get in.

If it's got the correct union on it you're more than welcome to it Razz... pass it on and all that.

I think that'll actually be a vacuum pump then, not a water pump!
