I had similar symptoms. It was the pink relay that had gone faulty on mine
Edit: I misread main beam and full beam. Having re read and replaced main with dipped it makes much more sense. I think it could be your main lighting switch. As in the little one lower down, not the main one that also controls the indicators and horn 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Already replaced that Grafty
Next I was going to replace the pink relay as these seem main offenders. |

I'd check by bridging the contacts in the relay base with some decent gauge wire and some large spade connectors 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Cheers Grafty, I’ll get my pal to give me a ya day as I’m no whizz with the multi meter.
Do you know which ones to bridge to test ? |

All done back up & running.
All lights now working. Just done same as you Grafty Thanks for the assistance, much appreciated. Next question is any tips on sorting a squeaky clutch pedal. Getting rather annoying when pressing & releasing clutch pedal. It’s internal not the box. Tried some GT85 which worked for a short while but it’s back now |

Its probably the top pivot. Lube the pivot under the bonnet rather than in the cabin it can sound internal even if it is the pivot
Also I replaced my relay but bridging it worked well until the new one arrived. Not sure it's really required though 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

I wouldn’t bother replacing the pink relay, either keep it bridged, by the bridging relay or bin the dip dim unit from the inner wing. Dip dim is something else to wrong, it’s not required and kills headlight bulbs by giving them a too low voltage.
And as mentioned lubricate the clutch pedal from the top of the pedal box not inside the vehicle |
