Transfer box change
Hi guys running an LS3 in a 57 plate 90 I have Ashcroft shafts an open kam in the front and quiafe atb in the back all performing well but feel I have far too much torque going to the front, anything other than a straight line acceleration causes vast amounts of wheel spin at the front, the back being absolutely planted.
The question being can I move some torque to the rear with a change of transfer box or would a centre atb do the trick.

Presumably there is a 1.2 box in there as std puma box? You could go 1 from Dave. Or bigger tyres height wise to trial it?

That won't sent it to the back will just change gearing.

Atb t box might do it. I suggest you speak to Dave @ Ashcrofts on it. Cheers

I suspect you need front and rear diffs to be of a similar spec. - either both ATB or both open. The torque is clearly finding the path of least resistance. Darren

I think centre ATB is the answer. I believe that's what you get in the 70th edition and standard front / rear diffs?

I stayed with the standard front to minimise understeer, but on roundabouts it does focus the attention, I would just like a little more mk2 escort than Vauxhall nova, a call to Ashcrofts looks like it’s in order. Thanks guys
