Door Handle / Connector Bar Help

2007+ style doors - looking for help on how things get connected and what I am missing. Pictures of correctly assembled door handles would be greatly appreciated.
In the two pictures can you please let me know the following:
1. In what hole on the door release lever does the door lock bar go into. Upper or lower one?
2. I am missing a connector bar on the tumbler lever. I do not know what this part is and where it connects to unlock the door. Can you describe or send pictures of how it is supposed to be setup.
