Nice pic, did that route on my Dawes edge Team bike in about 2003. Hurt a bit, as it was a hard tail ![]() Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() |

Note i dident say which Feb! Was about 2 years ago, im about a stone and half bigger now, done FA for a year or so. Just kicked it off last few months with the lad, been to Sherwood Pines today and found the black downhill section, excellent, had a top day. My stumpie has been modded sine the pick, chain tensioner device fitted and bigger forks, kind of a downhill hybrid. |

I still have my original Orange P7 from '96/'97 if it makes you feel any better... Still in use too I might add. |

Here's my XC bike. It's an old photo and has changed slightly since this photo. ![]() Click image to enlarge Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Craig - I was 50/50 between a Scale (30) and a Stumpy but the latter fitted me better.
Just prefer the simplicity and lightness of hardtails. A bit in the minority though! If my frame ever dies (about the last original part), it's titanium time ![]() |

Both great bikes. The thing is, too many people read magazines and think "that's the one for me!", but often it's all about what fits.
If I'm honest, the Scale is a great bike (doesn't matter what model number, although the carbon ones are amazingly light, the Alu ones are light, the carbon seriously so!) however, it's not the most comfortable due to it's extreme XC race stance. If it was a bike I was riding all the time, then it would be something different. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Well, I've only just seen this thread.
You guys have some cracking bikes...only yesterday I talked myself out of getting an Orange 5, but this thread has reignited the debate (in my head) ![]() Here's mine anyway, not on the same level as most of you guys, but nevertheless, she's a Specialized Rockhopper SL Expert '10 ![]() Click image to enlarge  Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() |
