if you put them across ways, I find they fit better, handle bars on wheel arch, seat on the bottom.. don't have a picture to hand but I prefer it, all my bikes are xl fairly long enduro bikes.

Cheers- never thought about putting them across. Will have a go next time, but 3rd row seats might get in way. One of the three is a L Stumpjumper FSR prob similar wheelbase to your enduros (I know it’s hard work on tight switchbacks Confused ) 2012 110 XS SW Orkney Grey

I have a friend with the evil and it’s a superb bike. Just seen your location, do you do much riding in the lakes? Big fan of the four passes but add on some extra passes and make it a two day trip stopping at black sail YH in the middle. Another must ride is the descent off skiddaw down ulloch pike, one of my favourite descents in the UK.

I've done pretty much everything in the lakes around Keswick as thats where im mainly based, my fav is probably high spy then down backside of catbells...

Nice. I mostly ride north York’s moors and have a mate in Calderdale so get over there quite a bit. Lakes maybe 2 or 3 times a year. The north york moors have some absolutely superb trails once you know where to look and as good as anything in terms of technical riding, just a touch short so you need to string quite a few sections together.

I ride a Capra with BOS shock and forks and couldn’t imagine anything better! 28lb and as capable uphill as any 4” bike and as good down as a downhill rig with me at the helm! Modern enduro bikes really seem to be at the pinnacle of design at the moment, all my previous bikes have had some compromise even when splashing the cash, but the new rake of enduros really take some beating.

A beast Thumbs Up V impressive

Agree with Co1; latest gen Enduros are real go anywhere bikes.

I loved my 26’’ Stumpy FSR but it got nicked and replaced on insurance with a Stumpy 29er FSR Evo. It’s a good bike but not quite there in the do everything stakes - bit heavy going up, bit of a barge in twisty singletrack, OK going down though Very Happy 2012 110 XS SW Orkney Grey

Been in Ambleside all week (without the bike). Weather has been great so regret not burning the bike, but the walks have been just as enjoyable. Every time we come we look in the estate agents window and then quickly turn around when we realise that a 2 bed terrace is 400k!

very tame compared to some of the more extreme bikes but it tickles my fancy.

so this is the big brother to my 26". Its basically the same model but in 29" guise.
pretty much carbon everything. where the 26" has carbon cranks but alloy wheels this is the polar opposite.
only other differences being di2 gears x1 and slighty heavy tyres - racing ralph rather than furious fred. I'm likely to change to furious freds as I find them to be an excellent tyre and the weight saving is quite something. Thumbs Up

a couple of photos from the 'camino de stantiago' - 520 miles across Spain. Thumbs Up

At the risk of being off-topic (MTB), here‘s the bike I recently purchased. Whilst looking for a replacement for my trusty old Canyon hardtail, which was stolen during the summer, I walked past one of these at the bike shop. Whilst I dly musing about which MTB I had liked best, I asked the salesman “who in heavens needs one of those?”

He was a good salesman.

Within ten minutes I was out on a test ride. I came back convinced that this is exactly what I need, and haven’t regretted it yet. I picked it up at the beginning of November, and have logged up nearly 400 Kilometers (it is winter here) already.

Built in Regensburg, Bavaria, by a company that has made their name building custom beach cruisers for the Venice Beach scene. And yes, it is inspired by the Raleigh Chopper, Schwinn Bonanza bikes of the 70’s. A lot bigger, and very capable. Definitely not a substitute for an MTB, but suits my purpose perfectly.

Bosch CX 85 Nm motor and a 500ah battery. The only electric vehicle I need.
